For GRC and compliance automation vendors

Be the GRC platform AI recommends

GRC buyers now ask AI for a shortlist before they talk to sales. A small set of vendors gets named again and again. Here is what that looks like, and what changes it.

What ChatGPT recommended this week

We asked ChatGPT four GRC buying questions on 29 October 2026, each once, in a fresh temporary chat with no memory. One run per question is a snapshot, not a score.

Buyer questionVendors ChatGPT recommended
What is the best enterprise GRC platform for continuous control monitoring and audit evidence automation?ServiceNow IRM, Drata, Optro, MetricStream, Hyperproof, SureCloud
Best AI-powered GRC platform for continuous controls monitoring at a mid-size SaaS company?Vanta, Drata, Hyperproof, Sprinto, Scrut Automation
Best connected GRC platform for a mid-size enterprise that wants risk, audit and third-party risk in one place?Optro, LogicGate, Riskonnect, Diligent One, ServiceNow IRM
Best GRC software for a mid-size company managing SOC 2, ISO 27001 and HIPAA together?Drata, Vanta, Hyperproof, Secureframe, Scrut Automation

Across the four answers, Drata and Hyperproof appeared three times each. Several established GRC vendors with real customers did not appear in any of them.

Why the same names keep coming up

AI tools build these answers largely from third-party pages: roundups, review sites and comparison articles. When we checked the 2026 GRC and SOC 2 roundups that rank for these questions, the vendors they listed closely matched the vendors ChatGPT named. One of them is a vendor's own “best GRC tools” guide that ranks itself first.

So the gap is rarely about product quality. It is about which vendors those sources mention, and how clearly each vendor's own pages answer the buyer's question.

What GRC buyers ask

  • Framework questions: SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and running several frameworks at once.
  • Evidence and monitoring: continuous control monitoring, automated evidence, auditor collaboration.
  • Scope questions: risk, audit and third-party risk in one platform.
  • Alternatives: “alternatives to” the market leaders, and head-to-head comparisons.
  • Fit: company size, existing tools (Jira, Okta, AWS) and price.

What we change for GRC vendors

  • One clear page per framework you support, with what is automated and what is not.
  • Honest alternatives and comparison pages for the vendors buyers compare you with.
  • Integration pages for the tools your buyers already run.
  • Accurate listings on the review sites and directories AI cites.
  • Pitches to the roundups that shape the answer, with the facts their editors need.
  • Crawl access for your trust centre and pricing, so AI can read them.

Then we ask the same questions again every month and show you what moved, and what did not. Nobody can guarantee a recommendation; we commit to the work and to honest measurement.
